FORMAT & RESOLUTION

We accept images in the following formats:

PSD, PDF, PNG, PSP, EPS, JPEG, TIFF

  The image needs to be AT LEAST actual size. We can scale to fit but images do not expand well unless they are vector text or simple vector logos. Shrinking is easy - expanding difficult!

  The image needs to be AT LEAST 72dpi. Your print will be a cleaner image if you provide the image at 300dpi.  

Vector text and line art are excellent.

  Please do not overly compress JPEG files as artefacts reduce the quality of the final print.

  When designing in adobe photoshop, it is helpful if you do so in CMYK colour.

  FONTS

If you’re using an unusual font and providing the image on PDF, PSD, PSP or EPS, please send us the font, or a link to the font if it has been sourced online.

  GRAPHIC DESIGN CHARGES AND HOW TO AVOID THEM

If we receive images which don’t meet these guidelines, we will attempt to improve them or re-source them online so that they print as well as possible, but this may incur graphic design charges.

  The basic download, sizing and processing of your image, involving about half an hour’s work, is not charged. We will let you know if your job is going to exceed this.

  Graphic design is $25 per hour.

  Please note that we also correct spelling mistakes so if something’s spelt wrong on purpose, let us know!

There's a lot digital printing can do that silk screening can't - but also some things which are tricky. With an understanding of the process, you'll be amazed what you can do!
